Harem Bath – Ham Yard Shopping Evening

Ham Yard is an oasis of small boutique shops near Piccadilly, London. Known for their luxury we at Chiloé decided to take a closer look at Harem Bath, Anabel Chan, Brummel London and My Cup of Tea four different brands with four different stories.

Harem Bath is a company of sisterhood. Created in 2015 this company beautifully blends the founders Turkish decent with their suburban London lifestyles. Duygu D. Ozturk and her sister Begum N. Ozturk are the driving force behind their unique bath related clothing and personalised customer service.

Keeping with the tradition, all products are produced in a family run factory in Turkey using 100% natural and organic ingredients. However all are uniquely designed by Duygu herself in the company’s base in London. Despite a growing social media and customer base throughout London’s upper society, the founders themselves still regularly attend market fairs and events highlighting the sisters worth and reason for the companies continued expansion.

The Ozturk sisters

On entering the store, we were greeted by the sisters and offered some delicious Turkish treats! Talking through their current collection, we learnt that it consisted of towels, bathrobes, blankets and the cutest line of beachwear. From the naturally dyed Hamman towels to the 100% cotton Baklava line, everything about this brand represents perfected functionality whilst giving us an authentic Mediterranean vibe. The fine-looking colour tones and patterns mixed with practicality (thick yet light and fully water absorbent) make their items just superb. We had a look around and fell in love with the Kalfa Hammam Towel dresses which are ideal upcoming trip to Morocco next month, very light and airy.

We discussed a bit more about the similarities between the rural African clothing requirements to keep cool and their Turkish influenced pieces and expressed our excitement for future collections!

Light and airy…

The Ozturk ladies were such a delight! Go ahead and check out their site. A nice surprise is the personalisation service they offer. Customise your towel with your name or initials for that extra special touch.
